At St. Joan of Arc, we believe faith is best nurtured when it is lived both in the parish and in the home. Our Family Formation program for children in grades K–6 begins on the first Sunday of each month with participation in Mass, the source and summit of our faith. After Mass, families gather as a parish community before parents and children move to age-appropriate sessions for faith formation and fellowship. Throughout the month, families continue learning together through brief lessons, activities, and prayer experiences completed at home. This model helps parents embrace their role as the primary teachers of the faith while creating meaningful opportunities for faith to remain active, visible, and growing within family life.
Our Confirmation program builds upon this same foundation while recognizing the unique needs of adolescents. Confirmation candidates gather twice each month to pray, learn, and grow in faith together. Each session includes a shared meal, providing students the opportunity to build friendships, strengthen their sense of belonging, and experience Christian community. Through discussion, service, prayer, and fellowship, students encounter Christ and one another as they prepare to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and take a more active role in the life of the Church.
Faith Formation for children in grades K–6 meets on the first Sunday of each month from October through May. Families use Sophia Institute Press’ A Family of Faith program, which combines monthly parish gatherings with simple, meaningful faith activities completed at home.
